Celtic get Reo Hatate boost as CCV makes “attack them all” promise

Cameron Carter-Vickers isn’t too bothered that Celtic will have to play Hearts on Sunday after theRangers have taken on Motherwell at Ibrox. The Celtic central defender shares his manager’s view that the destination of the title is very much in Celtic hands so whatever any other side does or doesn’t do is of no relevance so long as Celtic keep winning.

A corner was turned in that second half at Fir Park last Sunday and that of course coincided with the return of CCV to bring stability to the Celtic defence. And the whispers from Lennoxtown is that Reo Hatate is now approaching full fitness and could well play a significant part in the business end to this season.

The American international defender showed steely determination on Wednesday night against Dundee, copying with a physical threat from the visitors while scoring the opening goal with a powerful header that looked unstoppable.

That put Celtic on our way to a very decent 7-1 victory and CCV reckons we can expect more of the same from here to the 25th May as the Celtic players are targeting ten league wins together with the Scottish Cup victories over Livingston in the quarter finals and then the two later rounds at Hampden before lifting the trophy once more.

Win all the games we play

“Our aim is to win all the games we play. If we want to achieve what we want this season then we have to do that. We’re fully focused on that,” Carter-Vickers stated, as reported by Daily Record.

“Hopefully we’ve got that energy. We’ve 10 games left plus Scottish Cup games.

“I don’t know if it’s players coming back from injury – maybe it’s a bit of luck – or it’s down to how we are playing. But we know we’ve got a few games left now and we’ve got to attack them all, try to win all of them.”

That fighting talk is exactly what the Celtic support has been desperate to hear. Hearts will want to put up a decent challenge against Celtic but if the Bhoys hit the form we should against Dundee we should have little to worry about.

And winning there is also extra nice is it not?
