Celtic full-back Alistair Johnston spoke to the media at Lennoxtown this afternoon ahead of tomorrow night’s Scottish Premiership match against Dundee at Celtic Park. The Canada international discussed his head injury sustained at Easter Road a few weeks back and explained why he decided to discard his face mask just before the interval at Fir Park on Sunday in the dramatic win over Motherwell. And it was Johnston’s assist that set Adam Idah up for the all important second goal to give Celtic the lead.
AJ also talked about how impressed he has been with Yang this season and acknowledges the difficulty that the 21 year old South Korean had in moving to the other side of the world and have to learn a new language. Johnston predicts big things for Yang in the months ahead. The Canadian also spoke about the important role that the Celtic support can play when they get behind the team: “If we play like the last 30 minutes at Motherwell then they will be right behind us,” he said
