Kwon wanted by St Mirren for an extended loan spell, he must be impressing…

It’s been reported this morning that St Mirren are looking to extended the stay of our South Korean midfielder Kwon into next season.

Kwon by all accounts has impressed in his short time in paisley, and is quickly becoming a favourite amongst the buddies supporters.

He indeed scored a cracking solo goal in the buddies victory over St Johnstone on Saturday, although it was harshly ruled out in the end by VAR, but it shows he has the skill to go with his undoubted physique in the middle of the park.

The question is, should we negotiate with St Mirren and let them have the services of Kwon for a further season?

We do lack a bit of steel in the middle of the park and the South Korean could be the answer to that next season now that’s he’s had better experience of the Scottish game.

But Brendan Rodgers or whoever may be in charge next season might want to bring in some much needed quality in that position.

It could be a great benefit to us if Kwon gained further experience with a fellow league side, much in the same way it benefited Kristoffer Ajer during his loan spell at Kilmarnock.

Either way it’s good news that Kwon is a wanted man as it clearly shows he’s got the talent to succeed in this country.
