“A big night in that respect,” Chris Sutton’s title race update

Chris Sutton last night gave his thoughts on the title race as Celtic found top gear to pile in the agony to poor old Dundee, scoring 1-2-3-4-5-6-7.  Meanwhile theRangers came from behind to secure the three points down at Rugby Park. Both were significant in their own right. Both sets of supporters will be encouraged by their team’s result and for Celtic in particular, the performance.

“Let’s not get too carried away. It was a big night for the goal difference. (the)Rangers are what now, one better off? So it is a big night in that respect.

Next up – Celtic go to Hearts

“But (the)Rangers getting a win at Rugby Park was massive for them. What a game we have on Sunday. Celtic go to Hearts and let’s get it right, we don’t know which Celtic team is going to turn up on the evidence of what we’ve seen this season.”

Speaking on Sky Sports about the latest Ibrox club Sutton added: “They have that belief and resilience. Celtic fans looking at tonight’s fixture and seeing Kilmarnock going one up but (the)Rangers under Philippe Clement find a way.

“I’ve got to say, Tavernier’s free-kick he does that regularly. I don’t know why goalkeepers show him so much of the goal. Even have a wall with him at times when he is that far out and the Lawrence goal was outstanding.”

Kilmarnock did have a couple of great chances to extend their lead before the two quick-fire goals turned that game around.  Nothing changes for Celtic though.  We still have to keep winning our games and the free flowing, high scoring football will give us the gaol difference advantage safety net just in case it’s going to be needed.

The Celtic Holy Trinity

This title race is going to go to the wire. The Celtic Holy Trinity – Players, Manager and Supporters – last night got on the same wavelength for the first time since the winter break. That’s significant and we want to see more of the same at Tynecastle with the 576 Celtic supporters making as much noise as they can to back the team.

Here’s the highlights from their game, check out those Killie chances!
